Aims and Scope

The SUDOOR MANTHAN- IIRS Science Portal, is an initiative of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO aims to promote scientific knowledge dissemination and encourage awareness of space science, technology, Remote Sensing, and geospatial applications among researchers, students, academicians, and the general public. The platform is designed to communicate scientific research and technological advancements in a simple, informative, and accessible manner, thereby bridging the gap between scientific communities and society.

The primary aim of this scientific publication portal is to provide authentic and high-quality scientific content related to Earth observation, environmental monitoring, disaster management, climate change, natural resource management, and geospatial technologies. It also seeks to encourage interdisciplinary research and innovation by sharing recent developments, case studies, and practical applications of satellite data and geoinformatics.

The scope of the publication covers a wide range of scientific and technical domains, including Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Geospatial Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Data Science, environmental science, hydrology, forestry, agriculture, urban planning, atmospheric studies, and space science. The portal publishes articles, technical notes, research-based discussions, and educational content that support academic learning and scientific communication.

Another important objective of the publication is to inspire young learners and researchers to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and geospatial studies. By presenting complex scientific topics in an understandable format, the platform enhances public understanding of the role of space technology in sustainable development and national growth.
